Très sensible aux injustices et tout particulièrement à celles dont sont victimes les femmes dans le monde, Hadja Lahbib a réalisé en 2007 un documentaire en Afghanistan « Afghanistan. Le choix des femmes » qui a obtenu le Golden Link Award de l'European Broadcasting Union en 2008. « Le choix des femmes » dont a été tiré un livre, est un portrait comparatif de l'Afghanistan vu à travers les yeux et la vie quotidienne de deux femmes exceptionnelles. Brèves</a> <div class='rss_chapo'><p>Ce mardi 21 septembre, la salle du Bruxelles Info Place était remplie à l'occasion de la soirée de lancement de la Fondation Solidaris International. Cette soirée, réalisée avec le soutien de la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale, était rehaussée par la présence de nombreuses personnalités politiques et du monde des entreprises.</p> <p>L'action de la Fondation se base sur l'idée que les situations de discrimination peuvent être modifiées dans le sens d'une plus grande justice sociale ; que les êtres humains jouissent de droits inaliénables qu'il est fondamental de respecter et de mettre en œuvre. Un outil pour ce faire : construire et renforcer la solidarité entre les personnes et entre les peuples, et leur donner les moyens pour la construire.</p> <p>Lors du discours qu'elle a prononcé, Hadja Lahbib, marraine de la Fondation, insistait sur ce point : la solidarité ne va pas de soi, elle est le fruit d'expériences, de rencontres et d'apprentissages, elle est la fille de valeurs et d'une perception de la société basée sur l'altruisme plutôt que sur l'égoïsme et la cupidité.</p> <p>Les frères Dardenne qui parrainent eux aussi la Fondation Solidaris International, ne pouvaient être présents à la soirée de lancement, mais ils ont rédigé un message qui a été lu par le Président de la Fondation, Alain Coheur. Quelques phrases tirées de ce message : « Nous disposons aujourd'hui, avec Solidaris International et ses partenaires, d'un outil performant, d'une expertise avérée qui méritent d'être soutenus, encouragés pour concrétiser et renforcer l'autodétermination des peuples à prendre leur avenir en mains, pour développer un mieux-être, un droit inaliénable au bonheur de chaque individu… tant au Nord qu'au Sud ! En 2005 les frères Dardenne rejoignent le cercle très privé des cinéastes doublement palmés (au côté du président du jury de cette année-là : Emir Kusturica) avec L'Enfant qui évoque le sort de jeunes parents « instables socialement » dont la vie va basculer à la naissance de leur enfant. En 2008, Le Silence de Lorna, drame sur l'immigration clandestine et le mariage blanc, leur vaut un autre trophée cannois : le Prix du scénario. Ils comptent désormais parmi les metteurs en scène les plus primés de l'histoire du festival.
